Whether you enjoy DIY projects around the home for the pride or fun of it, or you want to take on some everyday projects yourself to save money, you’re in the right place. The Hindsight 101 YouTube channel was born out of the combination of my own curiosity and the necessity to tackle some home projects myself. After just having spent more than our fair share on moving expenses, I figured I would take on the challenge of doing some of our home improvements myself to save money. When it came to learning these new skills, though, I found that the videos I came across were disappointing, to say the least. They were often grainy, only showed a project from one angle, or neglected to show an important step in the process. Left with more questions than answers, I found I was having to watch five videos on the same topic just to piece it all together. Not to criticize these other DIYers, but the elements I saw lacking in these videos were hindsights from attempting the projects myself with such little information. Hence, Hindsight 101 came to life to fill the gap.
After several years of creating and producing these videos to help fellow DIYers, I now also serve small business owners with their video and podcast production through my sister site, Hindsight 101 Media. Feel free to browse my DIY video collection on YouTube. If there’s a particular video technique, style, or topic you’d like to see, or if you have questions, I encourage you to peruse the forum on this site and start your own discussion if you don’t find what you’re looking for.
If you’re just getting started in the podcasting or videography world, I’ve put some resources together to make the process a little less painless. These free resources can help any beginner launch a successful podcast or branded video that looks and sounds like it was created by a pro. And if you’d rather have a little more hands-on help, you can take advantage of my coaching, editing, or launching from scratch services.
